Firearms manufacturers around the world put a huge emphasis on the safety mechanisms of the firearms they produce, making the safety of their use their prime concern. These safeties are in the forms of disconnectors - preventing more than one discharge per trigger pull to more sophisticated mechanisms such as: half-cock hammer positions, magazine and manual safety, locking of firing pin, de-cocking modes for the firing pin/hammer assembly and grip mechanisms. In this lecture I will produce how a safety mechanisms can be circumvented with possible disastrous results.
